Who should skip it
Buyers seeking a traditional dining height should look elsewhere. This set is specifically designed for counter height, not standard table height. If you prefer round tables, the square shape may not fit your layout. Those who dislike faux leather should consider genuine leather or fabric options. The set does not include a bench, only individual chairs. If you need a dining set for very small spaces under 36 inches wide, this table is too large. Check your room dimensions carefully before purchasing.
Verdict: The East West FAIR7 Counter Height Square Set provides a sturdy, extendable dining solution with durable materials. It is best for those who need flexible seating in a counter-height kitchen.
Key specs explained
Extendable: yes (butterfly leaf)
The table includes a butterfly leaf mechanism that allows you to expand the surface area. This feature is useful when you need extra space for larger gatherings or additional guests. You can keep the table compact for daily use and extend it only when necessary. This flexibility makes it a practical choice for smaller dining areas where permanent large tables might not fit.
Height Type: counter height
This set is designed for counter-height surfaces, typically around 36 inches tall. It pairs well with standard kitchen counters or bar-style tables. This height offers a casual dining experience and can complement modern kitchen layouts. If you prefer traditional table heights, this option may not suit your needs. It is ideal for those seeking a relaxed, elevated dining posture.
Table Shape: square
The table features a square footprint, which helps it fit efficiently into corners or smaller rooms. This shape maximizes seating along two sides while maintaining a compact profile. It is suitable for square or rectangular dining spaces where symmetry is desired. A square table often encourages closer conversation among diners, making it a functional choice for family meals in limited square footage.
Chair Material: faux leather, Asian wood
The chairs combine faux leather seats with Asian wood frames. Faux leather provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface that resists stains and wear. The wood frame adds structural integrity and a natural aesthetic. This combination offers a balance of comfort and durability. It is a practical material choice for households with children or pets, as it is easier to maintain than pure fabric or solid wood alone.
Number of Pieces: 7
This set includes seven individual components, comprising one table and six chairs. This count provides seating for six people, making it suitable for medium-sized families or regular entertaining. It offers a complete dining solution in a single purchase. When comparing sets, ensure the piece count matches your household size. This configuration eliminates the need to buy chairs separately, ensuring a coordinated look.
