Looking Beyond the East West Furniture AVGR7-OAK-W 7 Piece Dining Table Set? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How these alternatives compare

Pamapic 47" Round Walnut Dining Set

The Pamapic 47" Round Walnut Dining Set shifts from an oval solid wood table to a round design with a metal frame. While the East West set relies on all-Asian hardwood for durability, this option combines wood and metal for a different aesthetic. It weighs significantly less at 96.6 pounds, making it easier to move. The chairs feature a 330 lbs weight limit, offering strong support. You give up the butterfly leaf extension here, as this is a fixed 47-inch round table. This set suits you if you prefer a compact round footprint and prioritize metal frame durability over extendable capacity. It is a sturdy choice for smaller dining areas where space efficiency matters more than leaf expansion.

HUAHUU 47" Round 7-Piece Dining Set

The HUAHUU 47" Round 7-Piece Dining Set replaces the oval shape with a 47.2-inch round table. It uses wood construction similar to the East West set but lacks the extendable butterfly leaf. This model weighs 108 pounds, which is lighter than the 164-pound East West base. The chairs are designed to tuck in, saving floor space in small dining rooms. You trade the flexible seating capacity of the East West set for a simpler, fixed-size round table that is easier to clean. This option fits you if you value comfort and easy maintenance over the ability to expand your dining surface. It is a practical choice for households that do not need to seat more than six people regularly.

Pvillez 7-Piece Round Dining Set

The Pvillez 7-Piece Round Dining Set offers a 47.2-inch round table with a 153-pound weight, slightly lighter than the East West set. It differs significantly in chair material, using sturdy velvet upholstery instead of the East West wooden seats. The table is fixed in size, so you lose the butterfly leaf extension feature. This set includes a farmhouse style with black and beige color options. It is designed for small kitchens where a compact round footprint is necessary. You should pick this alternative if you prefer the comfort and texture of fabric chairs over hard wood. It provides a cozy aesthetic for dining rooms where space is limited and soft seating is a priority.

Yoluckea 7-Piece Oval Extendable Dining Set

The Yoluckea 7-Piece Oval Extendable Dining Set is the closest functional match, offering an extendable oval table for flexible seating. It weighs 150 pounds, slightly less than the East West set. The table dimensions are 59 inches by 43 inches when closed. Unlike the East West solid wood chairs, this set includes fabric-upholstered chairs for added comfort. You gain the benefit of expandable seating in a compact form, similar to the East West butterfly leaf. This option suits you if you want an oval shape but prefer velvet chairs over wooden ones. It is a solid choice for small spaces where you need to accommodate extra guests occasionally without sacrificing too much floor space.

Kaicollective 7-Piece Round Dining Set

The Kaicollective 7-Piece Round Dining Set features a larger 55.1-inch round table, providing more surface area than the East West set. It weighs 106 pounds, making it the lightest option on this list. The chairs are fabric-upholstered, contrasting with the East West wooden seats. This set includes integrated storage and a rotating lazy Susan tray, features the East West set lacks. You give up the extendable leaf for a fixed round table with added utility. This option fits you if you value storage solutions and serving convenience over expandable capacity. It is ideal for compact dining rooms where a round footprint improves traffic flow and you need extra space for serving dishes.

HAIZAO 7-Piece Round MDF Dining Set

The HAIZAO 7-Piece Round MDF Dining Set uses MDF material for the table, differing from the East West solid wood construction. It features a 47-inch round table with upholstered chairs, offering a modern style. The set weighs 164 pounds, matching the East West weight but with a different material composition. You lose the solid wood durability and the butterfly leaf extension for a fixed MDF table. This option is suitable for small dining rooms and kitchen nooks where style and comfort are priorities. It suits you if you prefer a modern aesthetic and do not require the longevity of solid wood. It is a practical choice for those who want a comfortable seating option in a compact space.
